How to set up SPF, DKIM and DMARC at Wix
You'll add up to three records. It usually takes 10 minutes, and nothing changes for your normal email if the values are right.
1. Open your DNS settings at Wix
- Sign in to Wix and open Domains.
- Click the three dots next to your domain, then Manage DNS Records.
- In the TXT section click Add Record, fill in Host Name and Value, then Save.
Menus move around now and then. If a button has a slightly different name, look for DNS, DNS records or Zone editor.
2. Add SPF (who may send as you)
TXTHost/Name@Valuev=spf1 … ~allYour value depends on which services send your email. Build yours with the SPF generator →
If a TXT record starting with v=spf1 already exists, edit it instead of adding a second one.
3. Turn on DKIM (a digital signature on your emails)
DKIM is switched on in your email service, which then gives you a record to add here.
Google Workspace
- Google Admin → Apps → Google Workspace → Gmail → Authenticate email.
- Generate a key, add the TXT record it shows, then click Start authentication.
Microsoft 365
- Microsoft Defender portal → Email & collaboration → Policies → DKIM.
- Add the two CNAME records it shows (selector1 and selector2), then enable signing.
Using something else? Search your email service's help for "DKIM". Then check it worked: DKIM checker
4. Add DMARC (what to do with fakes)
TXTHost/Name_dmarcValuev=DMARC1; p=quarantine; rua=mailto:dmarc@yourbusiness.caReplace the email address with one you check. Not sure your legit email passes yet? Start with p=none for two weeks.
5. Check your work
DNS changes usually show up within an hour. Then run a free scan: you should see A or B.
